For years I had a decorating business. The quilting then was all sent out due to time. Now that I am retired I can do the things I enjoy. Just not enough time still. I have always found sewing of any kind to be relaxing.

reasons have changed over the years. Always for fun, however, early on I sold some to supplement cost of raising four sons, making mortgage, gifts for family members, charity auctions, etc. In my "old age" (73), my doctor has encouraged me to continue quilting and researching our family genealogy to exercise my brain and stave off the effects of alzheimer's. He calls quilting my brain cleanser - Don'cha just love it, I now have a valid medical excuse to quilt and buy fabric. Sons no longer ask me "Mom, where are you going to put more fabric?" LOL

I quilt for fun... hopefully some day I'll do it for a profit, but I have too many things to do now that are for gifts and myself. That list should last me till I'm about 150. LOL

I quilt for fun and the joy I get from seeing a finished quilt. I give most away. I do not want to make one for money because I'm afraid it will take the fun away. I am alway amazed how many differnt kinds of quilts there are and I want to try them all!

    Fun!! Stress relief. My time!!
I have donated a few. My children have several.
    Quilts. Tied and Quilted.
Last Christmas I branched out a bit. I did Placemats that I
had pieced. Had so much fun with them. Even did napkins to go with them.
    :)

For fun, gifts, and utilitarian! Would do it for pay, but nobody wants to pay what it's worth!
