    I have just completed a baby quilt with cross hatching, the best advice from me..... slow and steady. If I try to go too fast the walking foot can't do its' job properly.

    Some walking feet are better than others. I've found the open toe walking feet are easier to use, but they are not as effective, and wrinkles occur.
