I used it to make templates for a quilt I designed, I liked the stiffness it gave so it didn't push in while trying to trace it. Homemade wrapping paper is one idea.If you can't find the paper you are looking for you could try to use tissue paper thin enough you can see thru it ,just not sure it is the size you would want
