I bought one a couple of years ago and have not used it yet. It wasn't that much! Got it at Ken's Sew and Vac in Muscleshoals, Al. Think I paid about $250.00 for it. Same as in pic you showed us.

Have bought 2 machines from them and will continue to purchase things from them.

Also have 2 of the real thing.

Since you have both I'd be interested in knowing how they compare.

This is what I understand it to be as well. If you read the ad closely, it states right there: "This is not the same featherweight". They are made in China also. Not sure I would trust them. I'm sticking with the originals I already have. I'm happy with them.

A singer shop that used to be in our area had a couple of those. The repair man told me that they were just not as good as the original. He said he wouldn't buy one.

    Man ( who owns a large sewing store(sells Bernina,Janome,
and material + almost anything needed for sewing) told me
that the Featherweight sews the most perfect stitch of any
macine ever made....He has been in the business a long time
(sold me my Bernina) and knows the business well....so I have
to believe what he says is pretty reliable..

that's my question too. yes, the originals do stitch the perfect stitch. What does he have to say about the replicas. I haven't heard anything good about the replicas. I like my originals. I have 3 and wouldn't trade them for anything (well, maybe something) LOL.

No, he didn't mean the replica.....he was referring to the
original featherweights.....I moved out of that state, am
retired and we moved back to New York state where
our family is, so can't ask him about the replica....

well, I'm going to believe what I've already heard, and that's the replicas just aren't as good as the originals and are overpriced in my opinion.
