I like the Boundless fabrics - just got a bunch of the collage fat quarters and they are beautiful. I have had no problems with the transition. I have also found their customer service to be very good. If you have purchased classes or patterns, they are still there. It would be nice if they still carried all the fabric lines that they used to, but things change and I imagine it was not cost effective for that to continue.

Boundless was good, but did not like the Lily and Loom, too thin, large weave...not something I would put in a quilt. I thought about using the L & L jelly rolls for rugs, but then had second thought about the durability with walking on it...so didn't purchase. L & L I have will go into potholders. If you look at their prices between the Boundless and L & L....that should tell you something....L&L cheaper.

I used to spend a lot at Craftsy when they sold the top brands, and so it was a major temptation removed when they switched to selling their own brands. I haven't liked their fabrics as much as the ones they used to sell, so I no longer buy from them.

Another positive vote for the Boundless fabrics! Nice weight, feel and tighter weave. I, too, do not care for the Lily & Loom fabrics for the same reasons already mentioned.. I recently made two identical quilts (for twin ladies) with one made entirely out of boundless fabrics and the other out of Lily & Loom and it was so noticeable to me that I wondered if it would be to my neighbor twin ladies.. I will refrain from buying any more Lily & Loom fabric but will shop the Boundless line confidently.
And I agree with the stellar customer service - any small issues I've had (missing a piece of fabric) were easily and immediately re-sent and with an over abundance of extra fabric (once an add'l kit too!)

I agree with the good reviews for the Boundless line. It is a noticably nicer fabric. But I have purchased the L&L sometimes, as it is often on sale at a very appealing price, and I believe the quality of the sale priced L&L fabric beats most other fabrics of similar price in the Big Box stores in the same price range. It is thinner, but the hand is usually nice. Can not comment on the durabillity as of yet, as I am new to this. Maybe somebody else with time under their belt could comment on that.

I haven't tried any of the Craftsy fabric, but overall, IMHO, fabric is getting thinner and not the same quality as even 5 yrs ago. Is it just me or are the digital prints really stretchy for alleged 100% cotton. Next time I use a panel in a quilt I'm going to use some lightweight stabilizer to make sure it keeps it's shape.

Does anyone know who they are using to manufacture their lines of fabric? That might be good to know.

I just came across some children's flannel fabric I purchased from JoAnn's before it was known by any other name. I was surprised that this fabric was on a par or better than some of the flannel's currently available in quilt shops.

I hope Hawthorne Threads (now called Hawthorne Supply Co.) doesn't go the route of Craftsy, and phase over to selling only their own fabric lines. I shopped often on their old website but haven't gone there as much since they switched over to the new one.
