Default Request for Fabric Review from Bluprint/Craftsy

It appears Bluprint/Craftsy is phasing out noted brands of fabric and replacing them with its own lines (Boundless, Lily & Loom, and Colonial Manor).

Has anyone purchased any of the Boundless, Lily & Loom, and Colonial Manor lines of fabric within the past few months?

A number of 2018 online reviewers didn't like the weight of the fabric. I'm just wondering if there has been an improvement to the lines.

    Thanks!

I’ve bought boundless and Lily and Loom end of last year most recently. I really liked the boundless fabric. Good weight and decent weave. The Lily and Loom felt slightly thinner and had a slightly more open weave but I still thought it was ok.

I ordered a lot of their fabric on a great sale in December. I was happy with most except a beige fabric in the Ruby Rue line. It was very thin. Honestly, it disappointed me so much that it will be awhile until I order again. I still like to “feel and pet” the fabric.

I've been happy with the quality of the fabric I've purchased from them. They tend to be mostly solids, blenders, and cutesy prints rather than highly detailed designs that you might find from other designers.

I really like the Boundless fabrics I've purchased. I have bought a lot of solids, botanicals, collage, aura, and some of the ombre. They have some really nice blenders. The weight is nice and feels very smooth.

I do not like the Lily and Loom fabrics I've received as "free gifts" from Craftsy. They sometimes throw in a charm pack or thread into an order as a "thank you" type thing, and I just used one of the charm packs and the weave is very loose and feels rougher than Boundless.

I love the L&L fabric I bought for backs of quilts and have been using the scraps in other projects. They have had a very nice "hand."

I agree that the Lily and Loom fabrics feel thinner. Craftsy had sent me some free samples when I purchased something else and I didn't like either the feel of the material or the print. Gave them to Goodwill.

I purchased several jelly rolls and charm pack when they were on sale in December. The quality was good and the colors were intense. I wanted to go to my purchased patterns, but could not even find them. I will probably never use BluPrint. Fortunately, I downloaded all my patterns before BluPrint totally took over. I loved Craftsy and will miss it.

I think there is an awful lot of confusion in all of this transition of Craftsy to Bluprint and the availability of patterns and classes already purchased. I liked the Boundless fabrics and never ordered any of the other lines. I tried to use email to straighten out a problem. I received one suggestion in reply that did not work and sent a second email and got no further response. I looked into National Quilters Circle and find it to be expensive and too full of advertisements. I think I will give up on all of them except American Quilter's Society which is very straight forward. I like that-straight forward!

    I've been happy with Boundless.
As for customer service, it's been outstanding.
Several kits I bought had missing lengths and they promptly sent me more. One was a flannel kit and I only needed 7 inches- they sent me another kit!
Granted, shortages were their error but the response was so fast and so pleasant that I will continue to buy from them. Shipping is extra fast too.
