Love the blocks! And envy your ability with pinwheels, which give me fits. Are those dark pinwheels black or a dark purple? If purple, I might go with that or the very dark blue in the border (which I love!) over the black. But really it's just personal preference. What you have here looks great!

Okay, I love the quilt. However the border bothers me. Seems to detract from the rest of the quilt. Yes, I would try it with a slightly more narrow sashing. I think it is a great quilt, love the dogs and the pinwheels. Good job.

The main thing I noticed is that your pinwheels are not laid out the same way. The top three blocks have a secondary pattern, but the other three don't. Since you haven't stitched things together, it's an easy change to either layout. Other than that, I like it a lot.

Well, actually they do now that I look at it more closely, but I still think they should be consistent.

I agree with comment about narrowing the sashings. Also, if you have any fabric (colored) from the pinwheels, maybe use a multiple colored border rather than the current fabric, which seems to be brighter than your pinwheels and dogs. The dogs are great.
