well today i broke in to my stashed money that i hide. 10$ here 5$ there. i made a quick run to my favorite quilting store and had some retail therapy. i got the purple thing you ladies have talked so highly of as well as some Halloween fat quarters ( a possible WIP), some minkee fabric for piper's turtles thread, some new templates and rulers. I found a great book on sewing for kids. i suspect the kids will be doing a unit study on sewing (yeah)! I also have managed to get both of the kids' quilts basted. All in all it was a great day! now if only i can kick the holiday blues i'd be set.
Hope everyone else had a great day too

Thank you so much. my other mother passed almost a year ago after fighting cancer. it's the first holiday season without her, my dad's health is getting worse and I'm just all around frustrated and cranky. thank you for being so nice.

My heart goes out to you. I haven't decided what I need yet, un-be-knowist to even my DH, I a not in any kinda of christmas spirit. We just moved in the last month and we went from a 2-story ranch style to a single floor manufactured house.

All I can say is like me, hang in there. It will get easier, I've been through this too and it does get easier, just one day a a time.

And you will "love" that purple thang. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and here some {{{HUGS}}}.
