I will have to be on the watch for any of these as I am going on retreat in the fall and some of the ladies are from this board.

How about taking all their sewing feet off their machines. That will cause a bit of excitement.

I'm wondering if you meant LED, I've never seen a machine with a halogen bulb. I could be wrong, though. Halogens will burn out fast if you get oil from your skin on the bulb, the way to solve this is wear rubber gloves while installing the bulb. If you do touch it, wipe the bulb with alcohol on a cotton ball and wait for it do evaporate before turning on the light.

The LED bulbs aren't replaceable. I took one of my machines in for service and asked the tech to change out the bulb, which had become quite dim. He told me they're not replaceable. I guess the manufacturer considers some machines disposable. Engineered obsolescence. Maybe they think when the bulb goes out, you just go buy a new machine.

I thought of a prank we used to do at camp when I was a child. White toothpaste on the toilet seat.

I like this idea best.....unless there are unused machines that she can immediately switch to.

When I was at an ASG retreat we had several prize drawings. There was always a mysterious woman in the hat (sometimes her name would come up several times), in fact our name tags on our doors would be switched around and I found out she was my new roomie! I kept waiting for her to show up, but never did see her.

this one is kind of messy, so you definitely don't want anyone to know it's you! stretch plastic wrap over the toilet and then put the seat down. who looks for something like that? no one!

you could hide all of her thread. or remove her bobbin. or take all but a little thread from her bobbin.

i would also like to hear peckish's ideas and pranks. will it get us shut down?

I do not like or approve of\practical jokes that involves personal items but I love pranks that are harmless. I like mysterious name in the hat idea. That's a good one. Also the window trick. Im going to do both at our next retreat. Really at our retreat so many do and say so many dumb things not on purpose we don't need many pranks. LOL.
