Returning of fabric bought online?

Unfortunately the only way to find out the things I did about the fabric is by washing it. Lots of fabrics that feel stiff from sizing soften up with washing.
And no way to know a fabric is going to bleed without washing it.
I have written them twice with no response. I will give it till tomorrow and then give them a call. I used them after getting a referral on here. The price was right for the amount of fabric for a QOV. I suppose everyone has different taste in fabric. I would not want a quilt that feels like this cloth. So it might end up being lesson learned.
But it puts me at an impass. How to afford to continue making donation quilts without breaking the bank? I spent $80 on this. If it had been 3 times as much? $240 worth of fabric is too much.
