    I too can say that Riccar vacuum cleaners are superior to anything out there. But I don't think I would be hesitant to buy one of their sewing machines mainly because they are not a major player in that area.

    They are still around. I live in a rural formerly farm community in north central Maryland. We actually have a shop that sells those machines and various vacum cleaners. I personally have Berninas but the shop owner did repair my mother's 70 yr old Singer featherweight .

    I also have a old riccar. It is a dream! It is what is called a class 15 clone, so I don't know if it is a true riccar.
    I'd do a lot of research before you buy.
