Life would be so much relaxed and enjoyed. Is it "whoever dies with the most fabric wins?" Use judgement and enjoy what you have at the moment. FINISH a project and then move on. I will probably get a lot of flak over this reply, but just think how much more you would enjoy quilting, if it was't moving you out of your home. I have not ever heard of any other hobby that overtakes your home, like quilting does for some of these quilters
If I had to finish each project before starting another, I would go crazy! I love to work on one project for a while and know that if I get bored or if it suddenly "develops a problem" I can put that away and go to something else. That's how I work.

I would love to send you a picture of my work area, but have already seen it out here several times!

A couple weeks ago I cleaned my sewing room and posted pictures on my blog. I had cleaned up the sewing room because I had company coming.

Well...the company has come and gone and I have not yet started any new projects, yet, so the room still looks the same right now:

I may think this only because I have all mine tucked away in cabinets and only projects (non-quilting) and doll stuff in totes-nothing in boxes, but I look at pictures like this and think that what your rooms need is cabinets with doors and the fabric neatly folded exactly the same for every piece. Nothing sits out in the open except the project you are working on. Notions etc, in an organized manner in drawers. All like stuff together. Anything you cant use or wont use gets tossed, given away, or sold. I cannot work on a project unless everything is put away to begin with. Clears my head so I can move forward. But that is just me.

My DH refers to my sewing room as the 'atomic bomb site'. I think that just about sums it up! At least it's MY atomic bomb site and I love it.

I want to come help you fold your fabric. It is a little obsession of mine. Some say a little anal, too. :) But looks like you have lots of space-which makes me jealous!
