Totally awesome BD gift! I agree, when I am gone from this world, I would much rather my quilting stash go to someone who would appreciate my passion for the hobby, rather than to be sold piece by piece to different people who just would not understand such a precious part of me. Happy Birthday!!

Why's your DH mad. He should be glad you didn't spend any money for all that!

oooH, I am so envious! I use fleece for a lot of things. I suppose the fusible fleece could be used in the same way. I use it for placemats and baby or small quilts especially. I like to quilt my projects myself and I find that fleece is much easier to manage than batting.

One of our quilt guild members recently passed away and some of the members helped the family members put on a sale to get rid of her stash. Some fat quarter bundles were made up and donated to our birthday fund raiser we have each meeting. I know her family is grateful for the help and also knowing that lots of their mother's fabric got sold to people who knew her.

OMG I guess you were in the wright place at the right time. Is't it a wonderful feeling? My dog had to have a foxtail cut out yesterday and Vet told me to leave for a while as she was going to have to be put to sleep to work on her. HUMmm Saturday..Should be at least one Yard Sale close! Yep, found one and it was a Quilting lady doing it. She gave me several peices of material and a hand full of Quilting Magazines. I started reading the books at 4 this am and got so excited my heart was fluttering with excitement. It is so much fun to still be able to get that excited with new things at this ripe old age. You can be sure I am going to try to find her again today and take TIME to really look. She had a garage full of more magazines and material. Had over 200 magazines and books already out in the sale yesterday. YEAaa fun day ahead.
