rip ir or leave it???

As long as the edges are secure I would leave it. The fuzzy or frayed edges are always tougher to stitch down because you are following the edge with your needle and the cleaner your edge the better.

I wouldn't rip out any of the stitching, as I seriously doubt that anyone would notice. It is an adorable quilt. I have been quilting for over 25 years, still have not mastered the tightly stitches you used, so I now use raw edge applique and I'm happy with that. Applique can be hard to master, but I think you did just fine with yours.

It's adorable!
Since it is a baby quilt, which will go through many washings:
Something I have done in the past (yes, it's happened to me too) is run a line of straight stitching on the inside edge of the zig zag. Not really noticeable but if there is any place that the edge of the applique might not be caught, the straight stitch will hold it in the washer.

It is cute, cute, cute. After the first "spit up" and the first "blow out" diaper, no one will be looking at your stitches. They will just be hoping that the stains will come out. If the baby drags it around the house for the next few years, it will be looking a bit rough at that point. Hope they appreciate your work.
I LOVE IT! You have put a lot of time and effort into this.....do not rip it!
