Ihave seen a book listing quilt shops all over the USA, see if you can find one of them. It is an atlas of quilt shops.

Thanks for the directions. I just Googled quilt shops near Durham, NC. last night and only got a few. Then I came in here, did a SEARCH above, and and wallah! All kinds of shops ladies told about.
We too get to do a road trip next week and I told hubby I wanted to window shop while he was in class, for antiques, quilting, yarns, and go to Home Depot. Is there an IKEA anywhere around? I need to Goolgle that too.
Have fun on your road trip and be safe but most of all, have FUN!

There is an Ikea in Frisco which is just a few miles from me. It's off of the Dallas North Tollway and 121.

Due to timeing I was only able to go to 2 in TN, but
Mawmaws Quilts - Really great! Very organized with fat quarters above or below the bolts. I loved that part. Also, they had lots and lots of fabric, great colors, and panels. Also, they have the Wide Width fabrics, not just 4, but about 20 or 30 - some great colors!
There was so much that I couldn't decide what I wanted! The one draw back is that they aren't on the internet.

Gina's Bernina - Another great place (how lucky to have so many close) with great fabric, and they are on the internet. I got 2 panels from them, they have lots of panels.

In Little Rock, Ak, we went to The Stitchin Post. They had Jelly Rolls in more than one color, Bali Pops, and other material. It wasn't as big as the other 2, but The Stichin Post really leaned toward baby and children patterns and items. They had baby bibs with Minki on the back, and blankets, dresses/clothes patterns for baby's or children. And purses! Lots and Lots of purses on display, great and cute stuff!!
