I spray basted for the first time just the other day. Couldn't believe how much difference that made.

I also hate basting, even though I spray. Unless I'm working on a deadline, I always pause and procrastinate once the quilt top is done... I need to learn to just push right through that and keep moving.

I also dread that part of making a quilt but oh the satisfaction when done knowing you made the entire quilt by yourself! Yeah for you.

I pretty much like all of the stages of quilting but sometimes I have to be in the right mood for the right stage. Some days I would rather quilt or some days I would rather bind. ( & so on) I think today I'm going to bind a couple that are ready & they will be done. Sometimes when I baste a quilt I have my GD come over to help me. So much quicker that way

I seldom spray baste because I don't want me Bernina to get gummed up.

I agree! It's the part that makes me most anxious. It's not creative, it's not fun, it just has.to.be.done. Always glad when it is!

I pin baste. Usually do so when I am with my quilting group. Doing so is no ones favorite chore but we all pitch in to help one another. Many hands make it easier and almost fun. A true blessing.

I just complained about " sandwiching " the other day. Never did baste or pin just spray basting now do Elmer's Glue too. Have one finished quilt in dryer right now. Tomorrow going to church hall to do 2 for me and one twin for
charity group so that will be the morning gone. A problem when I have a top done and can not continue working because I have to wait to sandwich it as I only do one project at a time.
