I have several machines. Bought at different times. My $200.00 Kenmore is upstairs as a backup. My $400.00 Singer is with my daughter. My $1300.00 Brother than I won from the FabShopHop in 2005 is the one that I use. I found out the hard way to clearly mark the INSIDE of your bobbins with different color nailpolish so you know which bobbins belong to which machines. There is a 'slight' difference between the bobbins for the Singer and Brother. Both are clear. When it kept 'jumping' I called a service rep for Brother and she told me to put in another bobbin. She's the one who gave me the hint to mark my bobbins with fingernail polish. Only on the inside. On the outside it could cause friction between the housing and cause it to seize. My lesson learned.

Funny ... we've all done that ... maybe I'll remember next time, but probably not!
