I buy and use charm packs and other precuts all the time I have never had a problem with it being the wrong size. I absolutely love the pinked edges better than all the frayed edges. I just don't understand why quilters dislike them, why use them then?

Welcome to the real world of quilting! There is always something to learn, but it is a wonderful hobby.

Absolutely do not cut off the pinked edge.!!!!! And when you sew your 1/4" seam, sew from the outside points as mdegenhart has already stated. I love precuts and have a boat load that I love so much that I hate to use them. It's great thst beginners )and those further along the quilting patch) ask questions. I've been in the quilting world since the age of dinosaurs and just learned something new this past week when working on a stained glass pattern.
