How cool is that? Good for you!
I also wanted to have a place for my quilting ladies to be able to come and enjoy sewing with me. So, my DH added 20 X 36 sewing room. It holds my Quilting machine and 3 others that I use for various things and has plenty of room for others to come and sew. We have a SEWATION (Sew+Action {my new word}) DAY as often as 3 times a month for a full day and everyone brings something for lunch. I have had as many as 16 ladies here and everyone busy doing their own things. To this date, our quilt guild has produced over 300 quilts for Child Protective Services (Charity quilts), and more for the local Veteran's Home. We have added the local Airport USO to our list since they provide whatever comfort they can for our service members coming through the airport and needing a rest with something to eat and a place to wait for their flights. Oh ladies, it is such a good feeling to be part of something like this. I hope you'll try it too. God Bless

Oooooooooooh! Wonderful idea!! Why don't you live in McMinnville, OR? I've got a bunch of UFOs I've been wanting to sandwhich and hand quilt. Been wishing for your idea!

Sounds like loads of fun. We have one about 15 miles from here, but is historic village school. Haven't been yet, but maybe this winter.
