I have one and it works great, I never get nicks in my blades.

What size are the carpet cutters from harbor freight? My cutter is 45mm -- will they fit?

    Thanks

They are 45mm. I just ordered them and the shipping was
    $1.98 for five pkgs.

My first one 45mm is a Tri-sharp. 60mm one is a Colonial. I've had no trouble with either. I've never had a nick in a blade. What are you girls doing, running over pins??
Here in Australia 45mm blades are around $13.00 each and 60mm about $20.00 - $30.00. With the sharpeners I find you do need to apply some pressure.

I have the blue Dritz sharpener too, and haven't been too impressed, but I've never thought to oil it. I've give that a try. Thanks!

I use this one before I start cutting.http://www.amazon.com/TrueCut-TCSHAR...0950585&sr=8-1 I always sharpen a sharp blade. I have the second one for when the blades won't hold a sharp edge for a day's cutting. http://www.connectingthreads.com/Too...r__D81995.HTML

I am very happy with both sharpeners.

Buy the Harbor Freight blades. Cheap enough to throw away and replace them.

I checked into the Harbor Freight blades. What mm are they? Do they attach the same way as the store blades? Thanks.
