I really like the Orbital sharpener. I got it at www.tooltron.com along with a bunch of their kini seam rippers. I notice they have free shipping til the 22nd.

I bought one but have not really like the results. We have Harbor Freight Tools here in Omaha but they do not carry the carpet cutters.

I am very happy with both sharpeners.
I have been eyeing the rotary sharpener you first mentioned. I really like the idea that the blade does not have to be removed from the handle for sharpening. Is this a tool that is worth purchasing as the sole means of sharpening a blade? At this time I can't justify the cost of the power sharpener, but, I may be able to swing the rotary one. Any info/opinion you might offer would be most appreciated. :-)

Based on a Board member's recommendation I now buy carpet cutters from Harbor Freight for $1.99 for 2. High shipping cost, so I order 10 to 15 sets at a time - someone in my Guilds always wants some too.
If either of you are interested type Carpet cutters or Harbor Freight into the Search section
Do you need their carpet cutter or will the blades fit the rotary cutter?
