rotary cutter gone mad!

The screw can go on either side for left handers and right handers. I'm right handed and my husband is left handed, so he didn't see anything wrong with it.
My Fiskars was doing the same thing. It's on backwards too. We'll see how they work tomorrow.

They also have videos on olfa.com showing how to change the blade correctly. Might be helpful. I also know of a lot of people who take their cutters into their local quilt shop - the ladies there can always help to get the blade and washer on correctly. Good luck!

Yep! Same happened to me! That stupid bent washer! But everytime I tried to cvhange it, I would drop it and then didn't remember which way I had it on. After about six tries, got it right. I am saving those instructions because I will be changing blades before long.

Ok, all of those who put your screws on backwards. Go ahead admit it. Could you cut easier today? I did! I felt like such a dingy last night when I saw the Olfa website that was posted on here, and found both my Olfa and Fiskar's were put on wrong. Both cut so much easier today and my screw didn't come loose. LOL Well that one didn't anyway.

I'm not left handed, my DH is, but I am dyslexic and not only caused me problems in readying when I was young, I do think this is the reason that when putting a block together, I always seem to get one backwards. I always find it, but frustrating at times. I just thought it was really funny that both my cutters, which I have had since the 80's also, were on backwards. I've lost all my marbles, but still I think I've got everything screwed in right now.
