    Default Rotary Cutter replacement time

I was comparing the Gingher and Quality Select products online, as I'm traveling, but could not find much information on the latter. (It was noted in a post today that someone did not like the Alex Anderson/Quality Select product, but did not specify why.) Suggestions between these? I think each require their own branded blades.

Those two brands have weighted rotary cutters. I have used the Gingher but not Quilter's Select. It is a really nice cutter. I don't use it enough to buy another expensive one though since I use a Go for the majority of my fabric cutting. The Gingher blades fit my other brand of cutters. I expect to get the Quilter's Select rulers for Christmas. I have used those and they are excellent.

The Gingher rotary cutters are "set" for right-handedness and for left-handedness. That makes a MAJOR difference in their usefulness. I'm left-handed, but accidentally purchased a "right-handed" Gingher rotary cutter. Fortunately, my DIL's birthday was coming up; she got a nice rotary cutter for one of her birthday gifts. Ha! I now have a "left-handed" Gingher rotary cutter that works great!

I have the left-handed Gingher rotary cutter and like it a lot.

I use Fiscar's blades and cutter. I have never had any trouble with either and they are not terribly expensive.

I have several different Olfas and a Fiskars. They all use any of the blades I've tried and I don't have a preference. As long as the blade is sharp they work about the same. I don't have any hand/shoulder/neck issues to contend with currently!!
