love my Olfa (the ergonomical one)it was pricey.......I have not tried any others but it is easy to change, the blade can be used for a lefty or righty and it is very comfy in my hand.
I am new to quilting and bought all my "big ticket items" one at a time with a Joann's 50% off coupon, I sure did make a lot of trips!!!

They do make a left-handed Martelli. You might want to try one next time.

If my finger joints weren't so damaged I'd still be using my Martelli. Now I use whatever fits my hands and isn't hard to work with.

When I first started quilting (without Mom's help), I bought a three piece set - ruler, mat and rotary cutter - Olfa. That was about 12 years ago. Am using a different mat, but the same ruler and rotary cutter - at this point I see no use in changing, mainly because I am so used to the Olfa that when Ole does go, I'll get another one! I think after that amount of years, your rotary cutter does not fit your hand, your hand fits the cutter. Edie

Love my Martelli-started using it when I broke my arm and couldn't use a regular cutter-and have never gone back!Correct blades is a big issue though-found that out the hard way!

Have several brands including Martelli and it is by far my favorite. When used properly it is more accurate, easier to use etc., etc. Their blades out last any other also. All of their products a wonderful, been using them for years.
