I also like the Olfa ergonomic. I did own a Martelli, and had hoped it would be good with my hand I had surgery on years ago, but it actually made my hand feel worse when I used it...something about the angle of my hand when using it...so I sold it. Maybe it works better for others.

Which one do you like the most and use the most often? Buy that one. Why do you need a new rotary cutter?

Try out as many of them as you can. Each of us is different.

For me some are too heavy, some are just plain painful, and the one I use now is safe. I prefer the safety.

I'm comfortable with the OLFA 60 and 45 cutters. Almost always just use the 60.

I've used other quilter's different cutters occasionally at classes and do not like anything other than OLFA. Maybe it's just what you get used to using.

I agree try them out where ever you can...quilt show, friends homes, guild meeting, buy and return if you don't like the feel.

For those of you that love the Gingher, I am curios about the blades. I currently can get Olpha 45 blades for $3 each on EBay. The best I saw for Gingher was $11. Do they last longer?

    thanks
