I also like the Olfa ergonomic. I did own a Martelli, and had hoped it would be good with my hand I had surgery on years ago, but it actually made my hand feel worse when I used it...something about the angle of my hand when using it...so I sold it. Maybe it works better for others.

I'm comfortable with the OLFA 60 and 45 cutters. Almost always just use the 60.
I've used other quilter's different cutters occasionally at classes and do not like anything other than OLFA. Maybe it's just what you get used to using.
I agree try them out where ever you can...quilt show, friends homes, guild meeting, buy and return if you don't like the feel.

For those of you that love the Gingher, I am curios about the blades. I currently can get Olpha 45 blades for $3 each on EBay. The best I saw for Gingher was $11. Do they last longer?
thanks
