Barb..you & DH are a great looking couple, but I had to crack up..That looks like a cattle prod in your DH's hand or what we call a "hot shot" It has little metal things on the end that shock cows when you poke them with it...surely not ....we don't even use them on the cattle! Did the groom need prodding?

Some times I think of it as a Hort Shot. LOL Unfortunately it is his white cane. He is totally blind and it folds to about 1 foot long. It scares the cqt and and fasinates young children. What is really fun is when we walk down the sidewalks people scatter like flies and it is amazing how many people hold doors open for us and we are seated at the end of rows of chairs, etc. So it does have it's advantages. I guess the biggest gift of this challenge, I can get by making a mess on the dining room table when I am working on a project and he doesn't have to see it. We have been married 50 years and 45 of them he had some vision and my messiness was one of the things we had issues with. And I don't think we would make it to 51 years if he ever looked inside of my sewing room.
    LOL.
