Personally I like the license plates more than I like the patterns. I don't usually use patterns; I prefer to design my own. I wish every shop that was participating had the plates!! Sure doesn't seem like they'd have a hard time selling them all.

I have a plate for every shop visited. Two are to come in the mail. I have no idea what I'll do with them. I've seen them used on tote bags, but have enough of those, so I'll keep watching to see ideas.

Several shop quilts have incorporated the license plate into their row ... very cute and clever! I was thinking about a totebag myself.

They didn't have Alaska so I wasn't interested.

Hey, You are almost out of time! Sept 2 is the last day. This is the list of participating states. Click on the state and you will find a list of the stores in that stae that are participating. It s fun. Don't miss out. You most likely will find photos of the first finisher with a quilt design. Some just rushed to be first, some designed with taste. But all had fun.

I have a few, not sure what I will do with them. I have only been to 4 local shops. One didn't have a license plate. I HAD to buy one as it says "batik freak." That is me, so I had to have it. The only kit I bought was a storm at sea. I have been wanting to do one and I loved their color choices. I would love to see what people do with their plates.

I have lots of plates...some shops will mail them (you pay ahead of time ) some charge reasonable postage...others are higher. The cost of the plates have varied from $4.99-8.50) I am not sure but I like the idea that someone posted about using them as signs

I have a long list of the plates I want from Texas, hopefully the shops will have them in stock for a while so I can order a couple at a time, I don't think DH would like to see 30 different debit card purchases in one month lol

I think they are very cute, but the one I saw was $5.99, which is about a half a yard of fabric, and since I didn't have an inspired used for them, have decided not to collect them. I've gathered a few row patterns and have really enjoyed seeing the finished quilts that have been posted on Facebook in various states. I will try to get a few more patterns this weekend and next weekend.

    Cheers, K

Thanks everyone. I've decided to make this Road Trip quilt that I saw on the MI Row by Row page on FB. It is by Handcrafts by Jennifer.
