I did check out the web site - and it was great to get a list of (some of the) shops that are still operating in my state.

Sometimes the typos are what make the article/post "interesting"!

    "interesting" being used in a very comprehensive way - - - -

Froggiey, I live in Corpus & I love the ladies at The Quilt Cottage, they are a hoot and like you said so friendly and helpful with my questions about my Janome 6600 and I didn't even buy it there, but will say when I was shopping for the 6600 they had the lowest price I found both online & locally.

I seen the question a couple of times on this thread but no responses. What are the dimensions of the Licence Plates? I'd like to make a quilt just from the plates.

Well, I started today. I went to two different towns west of Fort Worth and picked up two patterns, a kit and a license plate. In August I am heading north to Michigan and will be plotting my route to pick up patterns/kits/plates along the way. I am not even going to try for the prizes as I know I won't have anything done in time.

I picked up at my LQS here in MD. The owner said that her participation brought in a lot of new business.

What store did you go to in MD? What does the pattern look like? I got the one from the Frederick store. It's very "Frederick".
