Ruler with 7/8 inch markings?

Perhaps it would be helpful if you said why you needed 3 7/8" squares. I'm sure there are many members here that could give tips on how to avoid those awkward sizes. If you are making half square triangles it is much easier to go up to the nearest whole number, in this case 4", and then trim your HST down to size. You get much more accurate HST that way.
If you are making something else where you need 3 7/8" squares I'd be interested in hearing others tips on this.

Almost all of the rulers I have reflect the 1/8 markings. If you are going to make half square triangles and the formula calls to add 7/8 to the desired finish size I always just go to up 1/8 and then trim after I make the triangles.

This ruler is like a regular ruler but the 7/8 measurement is highlighted. No need to count all the 1/8 marks. The video explains the ruler's markings. I learned to sew hsts using the exact cut measurement. No trimming needed. I don't have the patience for unneeded work. I used this ruler for all hsts, now I use die cuts.
