    Looks like you have gotten some sound advice. I think it is too easy to "fall" for all the great rulers out there. I agree that you should try to make the block without any speciality rulers and see if you think it would be worth the $$ for the ruler. Have fun!

    Me too, have had the ruler for years and is very easy to use!!!!

    60 degree Clearview Triangle Ruler is the one I've always used. Here are instructions/video/prices.

    You certainly can make the block without any specialty rulers. However, this is a block that is used in many different quilt patterns and the special ruler makes it so much easier. If you like the look I say go for it and look for a ruler on sale. I haven't used the Eleanor Burns one, but have used the other two.

    Most of the time I use a couple of 6x24" rulers. I have some specialty rulers I very seldom use.

    Interesting. The "triangle in square" angle is not 60, it's 50 something... I'll have to look at that video when I get some time.
