I was paper piecing tonight happy as could be when suddenly my long time trusty machine took off at top speed. As I reached for the power cord to yank it out of the wall, I noticed my tiny brown puppy sitting full on the foot pedal looking up at me. He weighs only 1 1/2 lbs., but apparently that's enough for my foot pedal!

My chow used to always sit on my feet, wherever I was sitting. I got up and walked away from my sewing machine without turning it off and left the room. He must have rolled over, lay on the foot pedal and I came back to a machine with the biggest nest of tangled thread and a lot of work getting it undone. Learned to always turn off my machine. :-)
