I bought hst from someone who used to be on the board to make a quilt for my hubby. He is very ill, and I only get to work on this a little at a time, been working on it a square at a time for months now. Have some time off of work, so decided to do some more on it, and low and behold I am short 6 blocks worth of material, might be able to squeeze enough to do 4 more blocks to make it 4 x6. But now realize that there is not enough of the black triangles to do even that! GRRRR. Have to decide what to do now. Thanks for letting me vent. It will work, but is just dogone frustrating for me.

Nana, why don't you do a request for what you need???
I can't help you right now, which I would love to do but there are many others who may be able to.
I'm sorry for your troubles dear. Vent anytime! It's good for you :)

That has happened to me - although it's usually when I mess up and have to use too more fabric or when my math skills are off. That happens alot (LOL). Can you substitute another black and mix those 6 squares in with the others? Just an idea, probably won't work.

What a loving gift you are making. God bless you both.

Sigh, thanks everybody. It was supposed to be a quilt for our bed, ordered enough for 30 squares or so I thought. It was pre cut and packaged. I have enough for almost 20. Going to take apart some of the ones I already sewed and make a couple of solid squares and that should work. So it will be a nice sized throw for his chair anyway.

Put a picture up of what you have done and tell us what you still need. Maybe we can help you put it together differently so it will work, or maybe we can help with more fabric.

Yes I think it is for me. It is composed of black fabric and alot of different colors of batiks, which at this point would be hard to match anyway. So going to just get this done and be happy about it. Too much real stuff to stress over this is not that big of a deal-just felt like it this morning. Thanks for all of the kind offers you guys are wonderful.
