Our sales rep stopped by today with some sad news; she said that the Andover Fabrics warehouse is under water, affected by the floods from Hurricane Irene.

The word is that Andover was fully insured, so all their stock will be replaced. But I imagine it will take several months for them to schedule reprintings.

Just a "heads up", if you're an Andover / Makower fan.

I had an order that was sent to the warehouse for packing on 8/22... and two others that I was also expecting by now. I am hoping that perhaps it did make it out before the rains came and that UPS is just running late.

Tomorrow I will have to call them to find out... gee but I hate to have to ask them if "my" fabrics drowned.

That's just horrible! I hope they're back up and running soon. However, on a more selfish note, I hope this doesn't cause the cost of fabric to go up even more!
