I keep my opened pins in an International Coffee tin.

I store mine open, it saves time and fingers when I go to baste a quilt with them. I use empty crystal light containers. I have quite a few and pin them close together.

Mine are open (am I lazy or efficient?) in a tin with a tight fitting lid.

I made a large pin cushion for mine so they are open and stuck in it.

I have an old pin box that I have some safety pins in. Most are open and stuck into the outer rim of a pincushion i found in my Grandma's things. i remembered the RoseBud pincusion she used, and think that my use would thrill her.

I store mine in a generous size Christmas tin and they are closed . I put several of those little deals in them (yu know, they keep down humidity ) and a pincushion (stuffed with hair from my hairbrush) to condition stubborn edged pins!

I store mine closed in a tray that fits perfectly in the spot for it in the drawer.

That's how I do it, too!! No kids or animals to get hurt while they're out so I'm the only one who has to be careful of myself!!!
