Default Sailboats and stars, ready to be quilted

Here is my latest completed quilt. This is for my grandson, his room is decorated with boats in red, white and blue. I am going to make pillowcases also, one in red and one in blue, using same fabrics as used in the sailboats. I have a mid arm machine on a Grace frame, any suggestions for how to quilt. I am still learning so cant do anything to fancy. I thought about outline stitching around stars and a small stipple in blocks with the boats so thst the boats would pop a little. What do you think? Appreciate all your suggestions!

Darling quilt! I love the contrast in this quilt and the fabric designs.

Cute top and your quilting suggestions sound good. I might be tempted to do a water stipple behind the boats after outlining them.

I agree with Tartan. Water stipple shouldn't be too difficult and will give the quilt a movement of water. CUTE quilt!! I am sure he is going to adore it.

I can't help with the quilting, but wanted to say that the quilt top is wonderful! Please share another photo when you're finished ...
