Somebody posted a quilt she was working on and it was gold and royal blues. I think she was making it for her dad. I also think I asked her if she paper pieced and she did. But for the life of me I cannot find that topic. I found some nautical stars pattern but not like hers. Please can anybody remember. May was a long crazy month and I can't remember. Help.

That was the quilt I did for my mom. :D

The star is called "China" and is from Carol Doaks "Mariner's Compass Stars" book.

I know how irritating it can be to see a pattern and then forget where it came from. I saw one a week or two ago and can't find for the life of me where it is. I have gone through my books. Browsed on my favorite web sites, and can't find it. It's pictured in my mind, and I even know the fabric that I wanted to use. Hope I'm not the only one who "lost" a great pattern!

Thank you. I really liked your pattern and design. It was different from others I had seen. Did you finish it yet? DEB

Thanks Debra. I sent it to mom last month. She was thrilled to get it. I have a picture of it, but it doesn't show the quilting as I would have liked.
