I have been looking over reviews on this machine and it is not getting the best reviews in various sites. I looks as though it does great on heavier material. I for one would be concerned that it will not preforms as advertised. I have no hands on experience but would be cautious since so many reviews are less than favorable.

The "Fabricator" is similar to the "Sailrite 111", which they don't sell anymore. I have the "111" machine. It's a heavy metal machine. Sailrite machines are not for quilting or light fabrics. They are made to sew heavy fabrics like jeans, canvas, upholstery, leather, etc. Mine is straight stitch only. I do wish I had gotten the one that also zig zags. If you need a machine to do heavy fabrics this will do you well. The Fabricator is a low entry industrial. They take heavy threads & needles. Mine came with the leather walking foot as the basic foot. You can get binders, zipper feet, cording feet, etc. They have a oil pan underneath the machine, so once you fill it oiling is automatic. You just need to keep the oil pan filled. The price is pretty cheap for a workhorse machine/table/accessories. They also have great customer service. The best time to buy is when they have a sale & free shipping.
