    Default salmon Quilt design

Hi to all, I have just posted photos of my new Salmon quilt project. I create my own quilt designs. I teach art and will be posting more of my original designs and would love to hear your comments on my designs.
    Thanks

    Hi Ken,

    Welcome to the Quilting Board!

I love the details on the salmon, although fish are not necessarily my "thing". I could see using the borders around a pieced center medallion, or maybe you could develop other appliques for the center.

I visited your site and was fascinated by your frame. It looks like a great option to get started with frame quilting and your detailed videos are great! The price is certainly right!

    Best of luck,

    Lynda

The design is beautiful-my first reaction is an Alaskan/Northwest feeling, but it also reminds me of design elements I have seen in Thailand, Laos, China and Japan. it is very unique and striking. Because of your color choices it would make an amazing Quilt of Valor for an avid fisherman! I don't know what the design requirements are, but I'm sure the receiver would be thrilled!

When I see a prize quilt like this, I think-this quilt maker must have had art training or has a God given talent. You are great at this.......Show us more.

Very neat design! Are you cutting all the elements out separately and appliqueing them to a whole cloth background?
