Lots of good ideas. I did watch the video and sent my husband to the wood shop to rip some board to use. It looks like it will work. We've got an unused pool table in the basement that my husband has offered to put a solid top on for me. I think I'll take him up on it. Thanks everyone!

What about the quilt shop where you bought your fabric. Mine lets me use their tables when they are free if I have a big project. Otherwise I use my dining room table. Also do any of your friends have a ping pong table that you could use.

I can relate - I can get down there but getting up is a real chore! I bought 2 six foot folding tables at Sam's - very light weight. I put them up when I need to sandwich a quilt - I push them together so I have a 6 ft square work surface. This works great for me.

This shows that I'm really a newbie, but I've got table space available, just didn't know what to do with it after I had it. The video really helped. I'm going to try that. I had always taped the backing, batting and quilt top to the floor and crawled around on it and pinned it. I'm going to try a different way. I've got 3 quilt tops finished, so it's time to get more proficient at the quilting part.

Can you manage a queen or king-size quilt on it?

I think I'd like to try that on a smaller quilt and work my way up to the queen-size that I have waiting for me.
