Yesterday, I received a wonderful surprise in the mail. A package had been delivered with my name on it, and when i opened it, there were several FQ's of lovely Batik material and a card. I do not own any Batiks of any kind so it was excting to receive this. The card was only signed... "Your Quilt Angel".
Now, I was wondering, "Hmmm, who could this be from?" So, of course i looked at the return address... there was none.
Huge Huge Total Surprise. I showed my husband what i had received and that it must have come from an Angel from the Quilting Board! My husband's reaction was, "How sweet!"
He had a hard time believing that there could be a total stranger who would just send such a gift to another stranger.

Times have been real tough for the both of us, and receiving this gift was like Christmas in August. Actually, with this economy, times have been tough for everyone. So i just wanted to give a big THANK YOU and a big HUG to whomever is my Secret Quilt Angel.

I also wanted to say thank you to Sherry Snare for being such a good friend - always supportive, full of ideas, and so willing to share with me all that she has learned from her quilting classes.

Who would have guessed that i would have found friends (first time in my life) from a new hobby - quilting.

Thank you to whom ever you are - thank you.

I have been blessed the same way. It made my whole week. I am so happy that you were able to experience that feeling too.

How nice for you!! There really are sweet people on this board. And aren't good surprises the nicest thing?? Tje last surprise I got was this morning, but it wasn"T a good one. My dear niece who has been in hospitals and rehab after a stroke and bypass surgery, and an adrenal tumor removed, all in the past year, I learned this morning now has cancer in her spine in places from lumbar to her neck. Those kind of surprises we can do without! Sorry, I don't mean to put a damper on your surprise, but mine just hit me when I was reading yours.
