Default Sapphire 850 feed dog problems

I have a Sapphire 850 and when I go into FMQ mode I have a problem with the feed dogs creeping up and the switch reverting back to its original position. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but I find that something else (My threads start acting up). Anyone else ever have this problem and found a solution to it? I recently had the machine checked out but was now a Viking dealer.

Was it recently serviced? Take it back to the dealer to have it repaired.

It should be serviced once a year to stay in top-notch shape.

    Pat P:
You need to take your sapphire 850 to a Viking dealer for proper service. Demand to talk to the technician so you can explain to him what is appening. Often high tech machines don't get fixed properly because the description is too abreviated.

I have not had that problem with my 870, however one time with my Lily 540 I pushed on the scroll button used to drop it's feed dogs, and managed to push the whole button into the machine. The repairman fixed it & gave it a checkup for the same $100 fee he always charged. Is the button on the 850 a slider or is it kind of a round dial?

Looks like this isn't the only time the 850 has been discussed on the forum & elsewhere. https://www.google.ca/search?q=probl...C8jcoATO0IKgAQ
