hello i am doing a satin stitch (( the first time )) around some heart appliques (200 of them) but my problem is i found the size i wanted set all the tensions where my manual said (with in the given area) after about sewing 4 of them it seemed my feed dogs would not feed the material so i took out my bobbin cleaned off my feed dogs and all around it started sewing again got 2 more hearts done and it stopped feeding again ?? i am sewing cotton appliques on cotton material put in a new sewing needle ?? any hints as to what and why this is happening?i was thinking of re adjusting a tension but then the hearts wont match they would be looser than the other ones i did .
hopeing someone knows about this

I haven't checked out the links yet. My suggestion is to lengthen your stitch and go around the applique twice. This will give a nice filled look and should make it easier for the machine to feed the fabric. You can make the first round of stitching slightly narrower, so that the second round completely covers the first.

I found that if you are setting the stitch length to close it will have a tendency to wad up under the feed dogs and it will not go anywhere. Like it was suggested just go around it a few times and you should be good.
