Adding another "just give it" vote to the pile. And give it at the shower. A gift comes from the heart of the giver. the recipient or whoever declared it a diaper shower is setting up a suggestion. the quilt was made with love for that baby to be given at the shower.

I agree - you should give the quilt. Also like using the quilt to wrap the diapers in, it'd be a lovely gift.

I would just give it to her at the shower. You're the gift-giver and should be able to decide what you want to give. Just my thought.

Give the quilt! I think in today's economy having a diaper shower is a way to say "don't spend too much" and "we can always use diapers". Give her the quilt at the shower. You might laughingly mention that the quilt was finished when you got the invitation.

I would give her the quilt. If you feel awkward giving it a the shower, give it to her when the baby is born or privately.

I'd give it to her anyway.

I agree. I doubt very much that they'll get as many quilts as they do onies. And even if there is another quilt you know it won't be a duplicate.

You started this quilt BEFORE the invatations were received so I say give her the quilt. No one will look down on you all because of that. And, who knows, she might be looking forward to that quilt, since you started a pattern by giving a quilt. I would be very happy with one.Enjoy the shower.

What happens if the baby is allergic to the diapers chosen to give at a diaper shower?

Why not wait till the baby is born?
