I can't help you with the pattern but just wanted to say your dream was better than mine. LOL. i've been rearranging and making room for another machine in my sewing room. Have some boxes I've moved a couple times and nothing seems to work. I dreamed about moving those boxes again - but I think the way I dreamed might work. Gonna try it and see. hope someone can help with your block pattern.

I would use a white with tiny red print (hearts?), or leave white (white on white?) and use red to quilt.

    Neat idea!

Wish I had dreams like that. That looks great. Can't wait to see it finished.

That is too cool that you dream quilts., I do too. I have dreamed "paisley" since I was a little girl. Hmm... premonitions of things to come. I come up with color combos etc. from my dreams. I think you are on the right track with your heart. Just kind of go with the flow and be sure to write down what works, in case you want to make another one, or share....hint..hint.

There is a very similar pattern for download on the Connecting Threads board.
    Try there for ideas.

Ditto to what others have said .... there's lots of patchwork ♥ patterns online. Maybe you can find one or more that you could steal/borrow ideas from!!

As for size ... it really doesn't matter. It's more about how large do you want it to be?

Graph paper can be your friend ... draw out what you want it to look like. That'll give you the finished piece sizes/shapes. Then remember to add your 1/4" seam allowances on all sides.

If you don't have graph paper on hand, here's a site where you can print your own. It gives you lots of variables as to what type you can print ......
