It may only cut one layer at a time but super fast so you can cuts lots in a few seconds. you can scan in several pieces of fabric if needed and then place the designs on which ever fabric that you want. It has tons of built in designs which is great and you can even have it to draw your seam allowance which is great for hand piecing along with machine piecing, applique, cutting out clothes for 18in dolls, etc. You can cut on just about any surface. They also have an online canvas where you can design what you want and send it to the machine, SnC 2 is the one with wifi, mine doesn't have wifi but I love it. Since its brother, updates are free. There are videos all over the place with step by step directions. Make your quilts, appliques, vinly stickers, felt, velvet, balsa wood etc. Its great for lots of things but especially quilting blocks and appliques. There are several different ones depending on how much you want to spin, UP until the #2 the main difference is what comes with it. The number two is also wifi.
