Wow - I had no idea there were so many different brands of scissors available.

I have a pair of the Gingher scissors and a pair of Singer scissors that are similar to the Ginghers and they do last a long time in regards to sharpness, but my absolute favorite pair of scissors are the Mundial red dot dressmaker shears. They are super sharp and lightweight. As long as you use them only for fabric/thread, they seem to stay sharp a long time too. I was just thinking the other day about purchasing 2 more pair to have on hand - one for the room that I do my cutting in and another for the sewing room.

I agree. Have several Gnghers. But also inherited my mother's Wiss shears and they're great, too.
