Scrabble quilt
I would like to make a scrabble quilt but use family names. I have found some ideas and but am not sure on a couple of things. For those that have done this type of quilt, how did you print the letter? A fabric pen? What size of block should I start with? Any suggestions or hints that I could benefit from. Thanks

There still are letters that are printed. I have read here that often things printed on a home computer will fade with washing. I myself would applique the letters onto fabric squares. I bought on clearance some 4" cardboard letters and numbers by Art Skills.

Have you looked at spoonflower? You can have your own fabric printed, or you could try some home fabric printing you can cut a piece of fabric and freezer paper to paper size iron the fabric to the shiny side of the paper and put it through your home printer. I would launder and check for bleeding or fading. There are lots of tutorials you can look at about it.

The quilt I saw had used embroidered letters in different colours, eg a - red, b- blue etc.it spaced co.ours over the whole quilt. The words were all connected to quilting, mat, rotary cutter etc.
