scrap flannel fabric.. what to do?
What would you do with scraps of flannel fabric, most of it is baby prints, do I just sew pieces of them together and make a scrappy quilt... do you think this would look ok, there are so many different prints and colors and some don't look like the colors would go together...
in a scrappy quilt does color matter?

annaquilts collects premie quilts. you can make them as small as 15" sq. look under donations at the bottom of the main page. I've sent her several, I have some waiting to go to her. It's a great cause. sometimes, sadly, this is the only reminder of the precious babies.

You can make a controlled scrappy. Sort through and put the colors together that kind of go. Use one color to anchor the whole quilt or add white flannel like for sashing. It sounds like a fun project. Be sure to post a picture when you are done.

Another thing you can do with flannel scraps, is make burp rags, if you have a need for those or know someone who does. I use leftover flannel scraps and batting scraps to make burp rags. Several of them will make a nice gift for someone who has just had a baby.
