i was told to add my pic of a black and white "odd orange" quilt here.
string quilt with corners of orange added. some were different size triangles and they almost look like spools.

All quilts are pretty to me and so are all the pictures of quilts here. My avatar is a scrappy Logs in a Basket. I have made some and plan to make lots more. I do like matchy, matchy, but, I'm running out of fabrics for those. DD likes scrappy and usually makes those. We use a white background or off white and just grab a bunch of fabrics and start cutting. Doesn't matter if they match or go together, it will make a beautiful quilt and you will be so proud.

You made such a pretty quilt!! How many tiny squares? I'm signed up for the postage stamp swap.

Here is my favorite quilt that I have made. I made the two fabrics within each block match, but there was no effort made to match anything else. I LOVE the results.

Nativetexan - they DO look like spools. Love it. And kwhite - that's a great 9-patch. Love that as well. Truthfully, I've never met a quilt I didn't love especially the ones shown by our board members.
