I started a new project yesterday. It is supposed to be a king size quilt in the Double Irish Chain pattern. I decided instead of 3 colors I wanted it to be scrappy. It will have 3 color values. White (light), medium and dark. After I started it I decided I might be crazy. Keeping the medium and dark squares separated was nuts. Finally I put them in separate brown lunch bags and wrote Med and Dark on the side. Now, all I have to do is reach inside the bag and pull out a square. Keeps me from trying to color coordinate them. It is truly scrappy. I have 8 blocks finished, 102 to go. I haven't done the Double Irish Chain before and I think I'm really going to like it. I'll post pictures when the top is finished.

O.K. Here's a picture of the blocks I have finished. I think it's going to turn out neat.

Yes, it's definitely going to turn out neat, and so pretty.
BTW, wish I could hear you play here, too. :-)

I LOVE scrappy quilts and this will be NO exception! I hadn't thought to do the Irish chain as a scrappy, but you've changed my mind.
